An eight-hour continuing medical education course for physicians and other clinical providers who take care of adult patients in any capacity, presented by Marianne Cloeren, MD, MPH.

Getting Your Patients Back to Work presents concepts and principles derived from the ACOEM course on work fitness and disability management in an online format. The computer-based learning modules, which will represent 4 hours of “seat time”, will incorporate additional readings and media, with testing to ensure comprehension. Total instruction time, including required self‐study, completion of the interactive learning modules and knowledge checks, will be 8 hours. Students completing the course will earn a certificate of completion of the Work Fitness and Disability Prevention course, as an alternative to the full‐day in‐person course.

This course will serve as the foundation for future planned advanced level extensions that will promote mastery in work fitness and disability management. The online version of the current course will provide more opportunity to explore and practice using the excellent tools that are distributed but not used extensively in practical exercises during the live course.
