This webinar will provide occupational medicine professionals with the information necessary to describe the science of climate change to their workforce populations. Faculty will review the health-related problems associated with climate change from the perspective of the workforce and present a brief update on global efforts to reduce climate change. Participants will also learn how the occupational medicine physician can work with business organizations to reduce their carbon footprint. The webinar will conclude with a stimulating question and answer session.

The medium or combination of media used for this activity will be audio and video. Participants will view the pre-recorded webinar while listening to the audio. A self-assessment post-test will then be taken online, which will be submitted to ACOEM. Participants who answer at least 4 out of 5 questions correctly will be eligible to claim up to 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. This activity is an ABPM-approved LLSA/MOC Activity.
Learning Objectives:
1. Describe the risks workers face as a result of climate change.
2. Develop a rational approach towards reducing the effects of climate in a given industry.
3. Develop an approach towards advocating for preparing communities for the effects of climate change and education on advocating for a net negative carbon emissions.
